Just got mine up and running... maiden voyage i decided to pressure ferment, bit i didn't have a spunding valve.. so it actually was hitting 35psi fermenting... Yeast seem okay so far . I flushed the hops with co2 in the bottom chamber and let em on in.. today, my spunding valve still hasn't...

2016 Hop Plantations, Show Us Your Hop Garden!

i lost two tips off my bines (of about 6)... maybe a bird? Overall, the plant isn't shooting up real quick anymore. Sort of looks like its stunted a bit after a promising start. I'll keep the watering up and chuck a bit more coffee grind on there (they loved that).

    Rainwater? Good or bad

if it tastes good as a water, it should taste good as beer. i have filtered water and mains water at my house. The mains water is actually quite good where i am, so i dont bother with that much filtered water (just for additional time really). I did use it once, but didn't notice anything...

2016 Hop Plantations, Show Us Your Hop Garden!

Looks great.. My second year Chinook (possible a cascade, as it got mixed up) has just taken off. Had a tough start to life last season and got no yield. Seems stronger this time around. Heaps of nodes/shoots which I'll trim once it takes off a little more.. Looking forward to finally getting...

    Perlick tap growler fillers

i have both CPBF caps (thanks to YOB!) and a perlick growler filler for my 650ss (from the USA)... Caps are so much better, but you obviously have to keep the cap on... SO good for storage, but not so good for taking to a party etc... The perlick filler is better than just pouring into a...

    Kneebones coffin keezer build

Keep insulation in mind for shank length. It's also good having a bit of a lump of metal in your coffin to soak up some of the cold, so the longer shanks are good for that.

Where are all the galaxy hops hiding in Melbourne?!

I bought 350 grams when I heard of the shortage surfacing :). If anyone is desperado, I could probably split 100grams

The Lethal Money Brewing Coffin Keezer build (lots of pics)

All things were closing in on completion... Unfortunately, the 2-pack epoxy didn't cure properly... which makes for a right PITA to fix. I have a single pack polyurethane to replace it, but it really hit the back burner whilst I've been busy in the yard. Once i've fixed up that mess i'll...

    Kneebones coffin keezer build

cool, another coffin keezer.. mines mostly built... Very similar set up to your infact. One word of advice - don't use 2pack epoxy unless you are skilled in it. I did for my glass top and it has set the project back MASSIVELY. It hardened perfectly like glass in some areas and was a sticky mess...
