    Wort OG Ratio Calculator Spreadsheet

Hey guys, Was stuffing around making this up for a mate today. Thought someone else might be able to use it. Its a calculator for figuring out the OG of mixing wort's of different volumes and OG's. Enter figures in green and it spits out total OG in yellow. Or you can use it in reverse to...

    Perlick tap growler fillers

Hi Steve, Its a distillers needle valve, purchased from my local brewing store. About $20. This is how my filler works: Set Co2 reg to 10 psi. One side of filler is connected to beer out on keg, other side is C02 feed, 'T' to the beer keg and up to the filler. With the needle valve closed...

    Perlick tap growler fillers

I was lucky mate..local home brew store stocks the rubber bungs with holes in them of all different sizes!! Works really well. Had to stuff around to get the 1/2" fitting down to my beer line size then attaching ball lock fittings. I'll post another photo for you of it in use. Pretty...

    Aussie bitter ale

At 5.6-6.4 % AA you would be correct indica86. Adds a nice simple aroma to a pale ale though.

    Aussie bitter ale

I don't know where the liking of a straight bitter came from (probably my old man) but I actually really enjoyed the last time (which was also the first and only time) that I had coopers sparkling ale. I'm usually a hop head or German styled drinker. It is pretty much what is says, and it IS...

    Aussie bitter ale

Personally, I reckon you could use most of the HPA hops. Those flavours have been bred and grown here in Australia and aren't available anywhere else. Its not just PoR anymore. A pale ale using Summer, Topaz or Vic Secret for bittering and Aroma is a pretty bloody tasty beer!! Having such...

    Aussie bitter ale

I'd consider this a current example despite what guidelines say. Don't forget that guidelines are made around beers not the other way round. http://www.coopers.com.au/static/media/uploads/cpr12308_cooperstastingnotes_sparkling_2014.pdf Cheers Matty.

    Perlick tap growler fillers

You could build one like I did. This was all stuff from Bunnings. Works a treat! I've also got the CPBF with the washer conversion for glass bottles. Works well too but is hard to clean. Mine is EASY to clean. Just throw it in a bucket with cleaner. Cheers Matty.

    Efficiency Calcs

Looks like you estimated 2L of boil off but got 6.5L? There's 4L short. Grain absorption looks close. Did you leave a couple litres of grub in the kettle too? Cheers Matty

    Charger Barley trials

For anyone who didn't see this. A barley trial that increases shelf life by 50%. Or helps prevent stealing I suppose. Cheers Matty http://www.abc.net.au/landline/content/2014/s3969446.htm

Hops of the South West WA - Circa. 1960

Great work! Thanks Feldon! Yeh so 1932. He'd already supplied Swan with 'Fresher than import' hops at that stage. So sounds about right that he probably started early to mid 20's down that way! Cheers Matty.

Hops of the South West WA - Circa. 1960

G'day guys, A mate at work sent me some great pics and info of the Pemberton hop farms during the 60's. I had gotten into a discussion with him as I had traded for a 'Pride of Pemberton' clone that I have growing as a first year. 'Pride of Pemby' was also known as Golden Cluster so not a...
