First time I used Crown Urn was also out side and it took for ever to boil but inside it only took 34 minutes to reach boil. Also for the first few times, I had lid off to check temperature so that probably did not help either. Are you sure full 240 volts are reaching unit as an extension cord...

Hi all Have same problem with last 3 brews with Copper Tun plastic bottles. Only a couple of bottles from each brew just lose from half to most of the beer and are still under full pressure when opened except for one bottle which had split on bottom of bottle. Bottles have been purchased...

Made it to October meeting as I have been travelling up to the Cape. Great night especially it was Martin's birthday (age does not worry him yet) and signed up as member on the night. Looking forward to next meeting and learning from the more experienced members. Peter

Many thanks for advice. I'll try a couple with 1 drop and another couple with 2 and wait for a month before sampling and posting results. Learning the hard way. cheers
