    Recipes for soft c*cks

Hi guys, all (mostly) of my brews are malty, hop forward IPA's. I keep Maris Otter, Munich and Crystal Med and Dark malts on hand at all times and having recently gotten a mill through the bulk buy, I have heaps of choice on recipes. Some of my mates who swing by just cannot handle the...

    CO2 Bottle

Hi all, have just started pressure fementing in a Sanke keg and need a spare 2.6kg (probably) for use in my garage. My dispensing bottle (6kg) is happy in the kitchen with the kegerator. Any spare CO2 bottles around for sale? I am in Melbourne NE. Thanks

    Question re Wort Dilution

This has probably been covered but, i tend to do double AG batches, always IPA's and have a question re dilution. I use Brewer's Friend for my calcs and say for eg., 10kg of grain calls for 30L of infusion water and 30L to sparge; this leaves 49L or so to the boil kettle. My kettle is 50L and...

    Neil Young likes good beer

Total random post, but I just dragged out an old DVD, Silver & Gold and noticed his choice of beer on set, this was the year 2000, ahead of his time? See if you can pick his choice:

    Brooklyn Brewery visit

I had the chance to finally visit BB yesterday whilst staying relatively locally, Carroll Gardens Brooklyn for the last week and all of this. Much anticipated as it was Brooklyn Lager that I happened on whilst here a couple of years back that changed my taste in beer and sent me on this course...

    CO2 usage

Hi all, I am interested in what you guys consider acceptable in CO2 usage. My current 2.6kg bottle just emptied itself after 5 months, to the day. Once my kegs are carbonated I tend to disconnect the gas line allowing serving under internal pressure only, don't know if this serves as a benefit...

How long should you keep your fermentor

Hi all, Over the last 2-3 brews, AG, I have been getting off tastes, a sour tinge. I am usually pretty good on sanitation and use cling wrap in the ferment fridge. Is it possible fermenters (mine a the std food grade from LHBS, 2 years and prob 10 years in age) lose their ability to stay...
