    Preparing my yeast starter as I have always done, I boil 2lt of 1030 for 15 min in a 3lt Erlenmeyer flask then turn it down to stop the boil and add the stir bar boil for another 10 min.     Where has my foam gone!

    Hi Planing on reusing some of the yeast cake from a brew currently in the fermenter. Brew is an ale og 1045 yeast 1272 Wyeast. Brewed on 26/11 and has been under temp control at 16deg turned down to 1deg today. My question is, have i left it to long? Kev

    Hi, I have read that cloudy starsan is past it's use by. My solution goes cloudy as soon as it's mixed, read that it's not a problem as long as ph is less than 3. Is it possible it's a water problem is distilled water an option worth the cost. kev
