    Anyone tried coopers "session ale"?

Seems to be close to their pale with galaxy and melba hops. Are they taking on the yak range? I'd be interested in trying it but didn't know it existed until a few minutes ago.

    Superautomatica bottle capper

Sharing the love / getting rid of stuff I'm not using. Somehow I've ended up with two of these bad boys they are the same except one has a bit of surface rust on the base so it's up for grabs! Nothing 5 minutes of work couldn't sort out. Still works perfect. Pickup Hurstbridge. $10 and shes...

    Marga Mill

The clean up continues. I have a marga mill to rehome as I upgraded to a mash master with fluted rollers (that's how I roll) I found the marga a bit slow. Does the job though so good for partials etc. 7 plus kgs of grain though was a bit of a stretch or maybe I didn't set it up right. I'll have...

    Stainless pots

Two pots prefer to sell to one person. Both are cheap and thin stainless as often seen on ebay. I used one of a set of three for many biab batches and it's now a sparge water heater of sorts for me. Worked fine no dramas. I had plans of turning these two into a DIY BM or something that never...

    Free 330ml bottles and crates*

*A bottle of your own or someone else's finest would be nice. Eight plastic crates 30 x 330ml stubbies to a crate. 6 full, 1 half full, 1 empty. Some bottles delabelled, none super clean all rinsed after they were last emptied. Also a box with some random 500mls etc all crown seal. Pick up...

159 year old pub illegally demolished Melb.

Arsehole developers in Melbourne knocked over a 159 year old heritage listed pub on the week end. No doubt it will end up being apartments and the developers are already probably laughing at the max fine of $200,000. The fact they purchased a heritage listed site makes them custodians that...

As if I needed another reason to not buy C.U.B. products.

I'd be pretty sure not too many of our members are buying their products anyway but this sort of behavior is abhorrent and what we have to look forward to with Turnball and Cash running their special brand of work choices industrial relations. For Balance here's a few sources...

BrewDog employee rewarded for causing recall

Not that I think it deserved a recall, got plenty of publicity though. No wonder they rewarded him.

    Found a duck Hurstbridge

Anyway last night eating tea this duck rocks onto the kitchen windowsill, I go out to shoo it off and it's really friendly. Got him some corn and a drink, no idea where it came from. Kids start patting it and making up names for it. Anyhow fluffy feathers / sticky beak is currently residing in...

    Living on the edge!

Just put 25 litres of soon to be stout into my 25 litre mangrove jacks fermenter. Not much head space. WLP004 yeast. Glad wrapped it and put it into the fermenting fridge. Now to spend the next 48 hours on the look out in case it tries to escape. Hope I can get to sleep tonight...

And now the google machine knows about hops!

Planning a long weekend brew, looked a bit short on centennial, have loads of other hops in the freezer I should work through, a quick google search should help me find a substitution chart. It seems one is now built into the google machine Is there nothing google can't do?

    Is brewmate gone?

Does anyone know what has happened, I was just trying to see if it had been updated recently, and www.brewmate.net now heads off else where. It is the software I have used for all my AG brewing, and am looking at upgrading to a grainfather or braumeister and was wondering about settings and if...

When to leave a beer alone?

I've got an IPA just finishing in the fermenter, probably crash chill tomorrow, it isn't a recipe I've made before but at 18 degrees straight from the fermenter it is just freaking amazing. I was planning to chill it and give it some dry hopping for 3 days but I'm not sure whether to leave it...

It's all been well cared for...

    10litre braumeister

Anyone else noticed this in the grain and grape christmas sale notice, also due to an upgrade sounds like a good price on the 50 litre. Wish I had some cash to splash... http://www.grainandgrape.com.au/christmas-sale-2014-0

    coca cola brewing.

At a pub in mildura. Beer tap with alehouse written on it. Me: what's that? Bar dude: A new beer that coca cola are brewing. Despite knowing it was probably going to be average at best I ordered a pot. Fizzy pale lager. Like Carlton draught without the hint of mouse cage. So no real flavor to...
