How Long Can You Leave Beer In Primary Fermentation?

My understanding is that storage at too high a temperature may lead to denaturing of proteins in the beer, which may affect the taste. And I may or may not have pulled that explanation out of my arse... I actually havn't heard of chilling the beer before storage before this topic. I might have...

How Long Can You Leave Beer In Primary Fermentation?

Thanks for the several quick, detailed and positive replies guys :) Thankfully the temperature has been freezing (not to mention its been pissing down rain) here in Newcastle for the last few weeks, so I would certainly imagine that hasn't hurt things :D now I'll have to enter into the...

How Long Can You Leave Beer In Primary Fermentation?

Ahoy there, I'll start by saying I've made a few brews and they've all turned out great so far :). Right now, I have a Coopers Pale Ale Can brew in primary fermentation. I havn't exactly had the time recently to get it bottled up, and as a result she's been sitting in the fermenter a bit longer...

    Introduce Yourself.

G'day I've loved beer from age 16, and only recently (at age 18) have I begun to appeciate finer beer (such as Coopers Pale Ale; love the stuff). One day, a mate somehow remembered a homebrew kit his family had lying around, and so we began to fantasize about having 2.5 cartons of beer for less...

    Brewiser Pacific Draught

Well it turns out mate's mum put our hops in a 'safe place', and we can't find the bloody things. So it looks like we're off to the brew shop to get some more, and some other stuff. What hops/yeast/sugar would you guys suggest we grab for this kit?

    Coopers Mexican Cerveza

The 'orange juice' colour is clearing up nicely as all the sediment sinks to the bottom, and she's taking on a nice corona-ey colour (we've got a bottle to compre it with). Here's hoping for a kickarse brew :D

    Coopers Mexican Cerveza

Bottled mine today, and I have some questions: Is she meant to be so orange? (this is the first time I've bottled in glear glass)

    Brewiser Pacific Draught

Thanks for the replies guys. Trough Lolly: we've got some hops (I think they're amarillo, but I'll need to check) spare in a ziplock bag, so we might just dry hop it. What kind of dextrose/malt mix should we use, and would either of the coopers brew enhancers have a similar mixture?

    Brewiser Pacific Draught

Well the time has come to start up another brew with my mate, and we're looking at using the can of Brewiser Pacific Draught that came with the brewing kit, for shits and giggles. I reckon it looks dodgy, but more beer is more beer! Has anybody tried brewing this before? What kind of results...

    Coopers Mexican Cerveza

Cheers guys. If she does have a larger alcohol content, all the better :D. She'll be like Toohey Extra Dry Platiunum, except it won't taste like crap (hopefully anyway)

    Coopers Mexican Cerveza

My mate and I are new to home brewing, and we started a brew of Cerveza on the weekend. We chucked in the coopers cerveza can, 1kg of coopers brew enhancer 2, 1kg of coopers brewing sugar, and a few grams of Amarillo hops. She seems to be running steadily at 20 degrees celsius. However, after...
