Started work on my HLT Today, Got the element installed, herms coil bent to the right shape, and 2 of the 3 weldless bulkheads installed. Just waiting on my compression fittings and barbs so show up and I can finish it off and get brewing.

I will be fly sparging, but I can gravity feed into the kettle if I stay with an 2 tier system. Can you still batch sparge with a herms setup or would it just defeat the porpose?
Your right I could get away with the one pump, but I thought it would simplfy the brew day not having to swap hoses around for filling the mash tun and sparging.

Well I have brewed this up today. I did extend the boil to 30min and dropped the 20min hop addition and doubled the 2min addition. We'll see how it turns out. in a few weeks.
