Identify that hole! (On my regulator)

I just had my first ever keg on gas for a week to find out tonight that there is no pressure in the keg whatsoever. I didn't think I had a leak, but I now realise co2 seems to be leaking from a gaping hole in my regulator. I bought the reg second hand & I have no idea what purpose the hole...

    EK Tap disassembly

Does anyone here have experience with, or better yet, a resource that shows how to break down an ANDALE EK tap? I have NFI what I'm doing. The handle seems to be held in place by a brass "C" washer & I'm not sure if I should be able to pry it out or what. I've found the breakdown/parts list on...

Andale Font & Snaplok adapters - Inner West Melbourne

I got this with some kegs I bought recently & I'm keeping the taps for my kegerator build, but left over is this font with snaplok adapters. They're old and it needs some TLC (new washers etc). Make an offer, I needs to reduce clutter.

Assorted bottles & bottle capper, inner west Melbourne.

Hi guys, Lot 1) 2 x milk crates of hacker pschorr swing top bottles for sale (32 bottles in total). Some have been brewed in, some have only had the commercial beer in them. All clean, seals in good nick. Great bottles, want to keep them, but part of moving to kegs was a promise to declutter...

Andale (I think) taps & kegerator build

I got these taps with a bunch of kegs I bought and would like to use them in a kegerator build. They came with a font, but I'd like to mount them on a fridge door. I think they are EK taps with snaplok adapters (though they aren't identical - one has "Downey" imprinted on the handle)...

POR rhizome - Melbourne (inner west)

Not sure if anyone's still looking for hops, but I bought a bunch of brewing gear off a guy this morning and it included an enormous Pride of Ringwood rhizome/crown, which had already started to shoot when it was dug up. I won't get a chance to plant it, but I'd hate to see it go to waste. $20...

Grape tannin vs tannic acid. Are they different?

I'm making the fall spiced metheglin from here: http://byo.com/european-pale-lager/item/1081-make-a-spiced-metheglin3 The recipe calls for grape tannin, but my LHBS only sells tannic acid. Are they one and the same? I'm also open to just using black tea if the difference is negligible.

    The RDWHAHB (brewing anxiety) thread

We have continuing rant, and continuing happiness threads, so I thought of start this one. Every brew I do, I have some moments of anxiety over some perceived (or real) problem & I probably just need someone to say RDWHAHB. These things probably don't need a new thread (ironic, seeing as I'm...

Glass carboy - what to brew

A friend just gave me a 25L glass carboy & I'm interested in brewing something that will benefit from a few months bulk aging. It seems that the obvious thing to do is some kind of funky beer, and while I'm not adverse to the idea, I have no real experience with any sour it funky brews (brewing...

    Vale Gough Whitlam

Gough Whitlam has passed away at the very ripe age of 98. Regardless of your political bent, he was a remarkable man with a remarkable vision and from a political era when politicians had the courage of their convictions, and not those of their focus groups. May he rest in peace.
