So the topic pretty much sums it up, got a couple of kits back in August.. and they have been their since. Located in Melbourne so there has been some serious heat over that time and although they haven't been directly in the sun it's prett close to it. Not the end of the world if they get the...

    First brew!

I would recommend for your first brew to keep it as simple as that so when you do begin adding variations you can really pick up the flavours. Just be sure to brew at the correct temperature (~18 degrees for an ale) and it should come out quite nice.

Help, A Celli Question For The Experts

Looks like I have a different tap than that picture (his possibly isn't spring loaded?), however he has got that last piece out which is the one I need to give a clean as even with cleaning the rest, it still isn't pouring properly. Also when I do rotate that front piece attached to the spring...

Carbonating Single Bottles- How Much Dextrose?

Would have been more effective if I hadn't already been given the answer, better like next time gaypes. Thanks for the answers though guys, reason I'm not bulk priming is because I keg so I just force carbonate, decent beer in 10 days if I need it!

Carbonating Single Bottles- How Much Dextrose?

    Pear Cider For A 21st

Well it's in the fermenting fridge and it is flying! I've kept it at 18-20 degrees and it tarted at about 1.055 and it's already down to 1.016, but i had a taste and it seems pretty flavourless, recipe in the end was 9L apple juice, 4L pear juice, 500gm ldme, 1.5kg honey, couple of cinnimon...

    Pear Cider For A 21st

Made an apple cider for a mates 21st a while back and it went down a treat and now I'm in hot demand. That was as plain as simple as it got, apple juice, yeast, water, dextrose. So this time I'm looking at doing pear and I want to spruce it up a bit, I was thinking cinimon sticks, vanilla...

    First Cider, Mead, Something?

So I made it and I'm having one right now and I must say I'm quite impressed. Reciped I ended up with was 9L of Apple Juice, 1kg of Honey, 10L of water and then just added dextrose til I got a reading of 1.050 (appros 500gms i think) It would be nicer with a thicker body, but the apple flavour...
