    Mistakes we have made

Ferments under pressure, crash chills, closes butterfly valve at some stage .... kegs beer, sits fermzilla on bench, swears getting the lid off dumps lid into the sink, opens butterfly valve ..... oh crap!!!! ..... spends "some time" cleaning yeast etc off the roof, walls , face and holy jesus...

    Fermzilla

More than happy with mine, wouldn't get 2 all rounders in my fermentation fridge so easy decision. I like Gashes trick of closing the valve and leaving the yeast slurry in, cleaning the top, reloading and letting it lose! Yeah i know all about over pitching and don't need any coaching...

    iSpindel Digital Hydrometer

I want to concur on Truman's comment on Bee2Gee, great communication, great service all around decent bloke! Mine has worked from day one and for those that have a Grainfather, you can add the iSpindel as equipment and track on their website. I didn't think of "Education" subs on Ubidots and...

Noob - help taking the next step...

+1 on temp control and yeast. Since you are in Albury getting things cooler will be easy for the next couple of months!! 18c is the magic number! and US05 an excellent suggestion. Also a very quick step up is try a fresh wort kit from your HBS. The drums are a real flavour change from the can...

    HARD! Lemonade

Not dumb at all! Yes and Yes! Or cane sugar, honey, etc. Given it's lemon, it's a bit more masking of "sugar" variety. Just bottled mine and chucked some mandarin concoction (i had a few on the tree still!) on the yeast cake ...... smells good, who knows what it will taste like!
