g'day guys, my mead ,first one,is a pale lemony colour. Is there some additive to give it that nice amber look ? tastes ok.

Hey Guys , I have made many different biab brews and always aimed at an ABV of 5%. with ale a finishing sg of 1050 gives me this. Question is , "Is the same calculation used for mead ABV? " What sg would give an ABV of approx 10% in mead? Thankyou , wombil.

Gee ,that was quick. Brew was a FWK from craftbrewer,fermented at 18 for 15 days and naturally carbed (50grammes sugar to the keg) 3weeks ago.Just got a rush party this weekend. F.G.was 1010

Hey guys , I have an irish red,very cloudy and gunky.Tastes ok tho. Would there be any sense de gassing the keg,adding gelatineand gassing up again.Would the yeast etc settle out overnight and could be drawn off before serving? Brew would be at 2 deg C.

Hey Guys, I have a corny keg and the rubber / plastic top with handles is half off. Does anybody know what is the best stuff to glue it back down with? CHEERS, wombil.

I used a co2 fire extinguisher for years. finally got a proper valve put in it. I'm on the gold coast and can get it filled ok at the fire extinguisher place. Try the smaller extinguisher places.

We used to call it rolly poly up here.

Hey Guys, Quite a while back I made a 40 ltr saison that required 2 packs of yeast but I only had one pack. I put 20 ltrs in the f.v. and cubed the rest. When the first lot reached high krausen (like a big starter), I added the cubed wort which made up to about 43 ltrs. and fermented as usual...

It will hold 1 x 4kg bag of ice that I have had last for 2 days,no probs. Get your keg cold cold first tho.

hey matty,get yourself a styrofoam zucchini or broccoli box,Glue the lid on then cut a lid with s hole in the end to fit the keg'Pic should explain it all. Cheap and effective,one bag of ice keeps it cold for two days if keg cold to start with.Excellent for psrtys,camping etc. Copied mine off...
