    First ginger beer ferment questions

Micro brewing doesn't mean watch it with a microscope :) leave it for 10 days. Take a reading then another 2 days after etc. If same - bottle of keg then enjoy. It will taste like ginger something ;) Dont touch it ;) Dont worry about the bubbles. If it has stopped bubbling, it doesn't mean...

    Cleaning glasses with PSR

A mate regularly cleans his schooner glasses with PSR. His normal drinking habits are the same as mine - drink and rinse with hot tap water. Does anyone else clean their glasses with PSR and is it worth it? Cheers

    Basic Q re kits

Most of the kits are based on 23 litres. If you make only 20 (what fits in the keg), what is the likely difference? Higher alcohol? A bit thicker? No difference, just less beer?

Hey mate just curious why you'd only use one drop in a LN? Dont want it to be as bubbly?

    *Newbie alert*

An aussie guy went on a cruise out of Sydney, 3 hours into the cruise he got to thinking, called a crew member over and asked "does the ship generate its own electricity"? The crew member replied, no sir, please take a look out the back of the ship, you'll see a very long extension cord running...

    Glass Carboy

PITA to get the beer out of. I tried the auto syphon, but found it stirred the beer up too much before the beer would flow. Appreciate all of the other comments. Need to look into beer that brews for 6 months, never done anything that long....

    Glass Carboy

I've got one of these 25-30 litre carboys. Brewed in it once, PITA to empty. What is it good for? Any reason to use this over a plastic with a tap?

    Keg help please

Please see the photo. How do I remove the beer line out of the gun? Doesn't twist, cant pull it out??

    Its been a while.

Brings me to another question, does everyone sanitise their kegs between brews? My LHBS said why? The beer is done, you put more beer in, fill it with CO2..... nothing can live in CO2.

    Its been a while.

Few kegs with mixed amounts of beer inside. Fridge busted a few months back. Kegs been kept carbed. Chance of the beer being still ok? Now got a new fridge. I know someone will say "taste it", but I'm an hour or so from home and it has me thinking :)

    Star San

Using star san for the first time. It says it is a no rinse, but I have so much bubbles/foam left in the fermenter I'll need to rinse. The instructions say so not rinse, will it be an issue to rinse?
