Knurling on a Mashmaster Mini Mill

I recirc with biab and worked my way up to 1.38mm. This is not a fine crush but because I recirc I dont like it too fine anyway. Ran wheat through on its own for the last brew and it looked like a good crush. Grain runs through pretty fast using an aeg 18v cordless on 1st speed. Hope this helps...

Chilling a 'NO CHILL' cube - WOW

My usual is this method using a starsaned cube. 20min for whirlpool after flameout then into cube. Fill 2 cubes and then give them a couple of minutes on each side. Into pool and dont touch until I remember to go and grab them. Has been working well for me for quite a while now.

    Heated Digital Stirplates

Not sure of cost. Probably rediculous but what about an IR temp sensor. Drill small hole through top of case and senses straight on the bottom of flask. Probably impossible but thought I would share anyway.

Anyone else get their credit card scammed today?

Ive seen guys get off the charges too. A lot of cameras arent up to scratch. Crims run store to store buying under 100 until card doesnt work anymore. Police can usually work out who it is but hard to prove in court.

    Who Uses a Hop Sock/Bag

Just throw them in now. Used to use sock but felt I wasnt getting all the goodness out of my hops. I do 44l batches so quite a bit of hops. I like the idea of the hops swimming around getting full contact with wort. Just whirlpool at end of boil.

    Show us your brewrig

Hey welly2 I have a similar rig for experimental 10l batches. Curious about the fittings you used for the false bottom and valve. Did you have to drill the cooler hole out? Been using a bag and batch sparging but been having problems getting flow( lifting the bag fixes this but thats not ideal)...
