This is a known firmware issue. apparently something to do with it taking too long (slowly) to get to the boil temp, and the unit triggering into boil mode to 'avoid boiling dry'. at least that was what I was told. returned mine to Grain & Grape and they did a free firmware update and it's...

I'm a huge fan of Carwyn Cellars. 20 taps of epic beer (loads of sour at the moment.) and a great beer range. Yesterday was Boatrocker versus Cantillon, Rodenbach and Founders. Last weekend was Merri Mashers brewing out the front. Good times. Great beer.

as others have said, you shouldn't have a problem. just drink it sooner. i have had a sour beer oxidise in the keg due to not purging / bad transfer, but it was in the keg for over 6 months before i got back to drinking it...
yeah, same here. SWMBO has been very, very, very gracious about my brewing activities impeding on her personal space. if I can make this freezer functional, not only will i get hops out of her freezer, but I can possibly put some stuff that she needs in there, which is a double win.
