Where To Get Metal For Brew Frame?

@Adamski29 - That is great news actually. Been looking at stuff like that. Good to hear yours is great. :) @Komodo - nice one! Didn't know about that. I will check that out for sure. So I guess a choice between the 'Rack it' or United Storage (or if there is anything else out there)...

Where To Get Metal For Brew Frame?

what about the stuff that is being sold in Bunnings: 'Rack it'? Is this something that anybody would even use as a frame work? http://www.bunnings.com.au/products_produc...-beam_3065.aspx

    Apollo

Yeah, a bit of tongue-in-cheek. Nonetheless, what struck me was the great aroma when it was tapped.

    Apollo

I did an experimental Amber IPA and dry hopped with a MASSIVE 28g of Apollo. Sweet Zombie Jesus! The most amazing aroma I'd ever had and I leaned toward calling it as a "dried apricot" type of aroma. The beer was fantastic on tap. (I should point out this was an all grain recipe I did)

RecipeDB - UFO (Unidentified Fermentable Object)

All good. No problem. ;-) I was more taken aback from the other comment rather than yours. I certainly botched the calcs using the DB, which explains everything. My bad.

RecipeDB - UFO (Unidentified Fermentable Object)

No, I didn't get 55% efficiency. Again, granted I am not used to the DB so you can blame the error between mouse and keyboard, but don't disrespect the recipe.

RecipeDB - UFO (Unidentified Fermentable Object)

Pretty much unfair QldKev, Recipe is below. Granted, I may have mucked up using the DB as I don't use that often to jot down recipes or broadcast them. Still, it's a well balanced beer. UFO Ale (Unidentified Fermentable Object) Ale 4kg (8.8184 lb) Joe White Pale grain 500g (1.1023 lb)...

RecipeDB - UFO (Unidentified Fermentable Object)

I mucked up the calculation of IBUs. Goodness knows what I was thinking at the time. Regardless, one ounce of Citra 14.1% @ 20 mins then I dry hopped the same amount. No other additions.

    Natural Gas

This is now the exact setup I have. NG Bayonet->2m hose->low pressure reg-><-1/2" threaded nipple->1/2" one piece ball valve->pipe->32 jet Mongolian burner. About to use it for the first time - and it's as easy as clipping it into the bayonet - and you're away?

    Bear Republic Brewing Racer 5

I loved the Racer 5 IPA. One of the many beers I tried when I was on my USA beer tour in 2010. I know there are literally thousands of beers in the US you could try, but here iare just some of the beers I liked when I was doing my beer tour. If you get a chance to try one here - go for it...

    Banana Beer... Any Thoughts

Almost, Paulielow. In a separate pot I just boiled the B's for 10 mins, and then just dumped the whole lot in another pot that had the malt extract (and whatever else) in it - then in the fermenter it went to, well, ferment. As for the haze, I sure did see that. My personal preference was that...

    Banana Beer... Any Thoughts

for what my opinion is worth (probably nothing), I did an extract of a banana/vanilla stout back in January 2011. All I did was dice, blend and boil my bananas (whatever your amount of bananas is) in about 2L of water for about 10 mins. I then did my normal extract brewing as normal. It turned...

    23 Jet Mongolian Burner - Yey/neh?

I recently got a 32 jet natural gas Mongolian burner, but apparently I have to get a gas fitter to sort this out? Does anyone in the western sydney area know anyone that does something like this? (feedback, tips, anyone know what should actually be done, etc?) :D
