    How to use these hose clamps?

    Hi all. I bought a kegorator kit and with it for the gas and beer lines came these weird little hose clamps. How the heck do you use them? I tried clamping the sides of the little sticky up bit in the direction of the arrows with some pliers but nothing moved. Any ideas? Do I need a special tool?
