I did a english bitter the other day, and ran the pump when i was chilling straight into the hop spider and this caught a lot of crud, The rest was caught by the other bazooka filter Thats what i will do in future worked nicely and cooled quicker or seemed to B

I have used mine a few times with the dome facing up and no issues I can measure the lot when i get home tonight for a comparison to see if that is the problem

Nathan I have only done one or two brews on my beast so no expert , Anyways if you run the pump to hard and the wort doesnt drain back quick enough to cover the element it will scorch dont ask me how i know this , Also i had a funny taste in my beer a few years ago from useing poxy green hose...

Okay have a smell at wirfloc it smells just lovely does it not , unlike hops,yeast and not sure about nutrient as i dont use it ,, I do chew hop pellets just bite a tiny bit off not the whole pellet , But wirfloc i dont taste anymore because i stopped using it , Correct me if i am wrong but...
