I just opened a bottle here too! Mine certainly wasn't flat, but I did notice that the crown seal didn't look like it was crimped as well as it could have been. Might need an extra whack of the hammer or pump of the capper handle next time :) Enjoying the beer very much though!

That's the whole point; no ones using 110V elements, not even the yanks and Canadians. They just have manipulate their supply to get 240v, whereas we obviously don't :)
