    Guide To Keg Forced Carbonation.

Hi stevenk, I leave the CO2 on the system at 100kPa (closer to 90kPa) all the time and serve at that pressure too. Run 3 kegs on tap and up to 5 conditioning/sitting with gas on. Cheers

    Why Move To Ag

Mate! Try a partial first. You should be able to use most of the gear found in the kitchen. Not much cost to take that step. Once you taste the partial you'll be itching to go all grain and have a better feel of the process and the gear you need. Did one partial and went all grain and have...

    Guide To Keg Forced Carbonation.

Interesting reading and lagers44 has some good advice. I've run a balanced system for a few years now. 12-13 psi (just under 100kPa). The reg is left as is and newly filled kegs are connected and left for a week or there abouts at dispensing pressure and temperature. No shaking and increase in...

First Full Ag Advice Please :)

Yep it sure did. This is where I gotta do some work. Disconnected 1 of the 2 elements & let it run on 1500 watt for a while, however 1500 watts wasn't enough to maintain the boil. Have got solid state relays & a controller to work with & now I've seen what happens I can work out some code to...

First Full Ag Advice Please :)

Good luck PZ ;) Hope all goes well!! Must be the right weekend for it huh? Did my first AG today & all went pretty well. A few things learnt. It's in the fermenter now, a little less than expected, 15 litres, lost a bit when boiling, 3kW element & no lid. Mods planned already

Shut Of The Co2 Or Leave It On?

Happily run a balanced system here with the reg sitting on 80kPa (just under 12psi). Haven't twiddled it in months. I got caught Sammus with my oldest female stainless ballock fitting when the o-ring between the body & the poppet housing let go. Lots of patience was req'd & lots of testing...

    Thermostat For Herms System

I've just recently bought SSRs for my planned rig. These beasties are Teledyne P/N 621-15, switching 40A up to 480V ac & the control is 90 - 250V ac. I bought them from an used machinery place for $10 each, complete with the heatsinks, (you need a good heatsink for these guys). They were off...

    Muntons Gold

Have got the IPA on tap at the moment, pleasant drop. Cost didn't seem excessive when compared to buying say a Black Rock Pale & a tin of Muntons light malt. Have done several Smugglers, 1x Midas Touch & 1 x IPA and have an Old English Bitter that I'm about to brew. Very pleased with 'em all.
