    This is quick hello

No luck. Still on hunt. I will just have to keep chipping away at some of my recipes until I get it close to the sharers lager. One thing regarding hannans lager is what hops would have been around and easy to obtain back in late 60's early 70' I can't seem to find anything conclusive. There are...

Thanks for that info I'll give it a go if I can find an outlet here in Brisbane. It was an awesome beer before Bondy came along and bought the brewery.

Forum needs to be active so let's talk political.

It's a shame Craig kelly got involved with UAP he has called out the climate change hoax and along with Malcolm roberts of one nation have the documentation to prove the government has altered the figures to suit their agenda. Unfortunately there were to many greens elected and along with this...

    Repeated off flavour.

My experience and I have had diacetyl taste only once and it is a distinct taste, it's hard to describe but it did go away over time that was my fault. But my sweetness taste is definitely in the three different style FWK'S base recipes.

I also had a sneak taste from fermenter when kegging and it tasted really good I was thinking it should turn out a good drop but sneaking a taste after a few days in keg and there it was that sweet taste and it isn't going away after a couple of weeks all three different styles had same...

Are you using the same base malts? I recently bought a few FWK's because of lack of time each was a different style BUT they all have a sickly sweetness to them. I àm guessing the base is same just tweek hops. Definitely going back to my own can only handle a couple of glasses of the FWK before...

    New brewer in QLD, Brissy

Yes slow down Accidents happen and you will make stupid mistakes. I think everyone follows the same path. But over time we learn it is critical to be clean but the Earth won't stop spinning if we don't get the lid screwed down in a record time. Pace yourself but don't take all day.

Thank you for the feedback. That will save me money. I wasted money a few years ago when I was reassured by those that took over the George IV hotel in Picton NSW that their sharers lager was the original so I had some couriered up to brisbane and it was terrible. Turns out they had it...

Thank you for all effort you went to. That logo on the label is the same as the one I used to drink only difference was it had lager instead of Australia. I got in touch with that mob claiming to have original but wouldn't give up the secret. It was a very good drop.

    This is quick hello

New to the site still looking around. I am in Brisbane Australia. Any body know off an archive of beer recipes in Australia. I am after the original Hannans lager brewed in Kalgoorlie WA before Alan Bond came along and swapped it for swan lager. Also after Sharers lager and Burragarong bock as...
