    It was a half batch for a RIS, was meant to be around the 10% mark but I didnt watch the boil close enough.... and i went foamy and reduced down... a lot, I've got the white labs stuff. Lesson's learned... Keep an eye on the damn boil! The outside of the fermenter was clean... now its got brown...

    If my ebay special was anywhere near as clear as that I may have kept it.. Mine was Dark blue and blue... Was hard to get a decent, accurate reading... So I went all out and got a nice digital one :D So much easier to use, and it does temperature compensation for you as well.

    Grain mill BB once again

    I picked one up last week. I've come from using one of those caroma mills which I'm pretty sure only cracked the plate when I applied 150nm of torque via my dewalt driver.. anyway... This thing is much better, only really has 3 settings though on the roller, I milled mine on the finest setting...
