    Fermzilla

I saw this video on YouTube this week. The guy who posted lives in Sweden...he is bit of Swedish larrakin ! I think this was completely out of order. He could have emailed Kegland and asked a question about his concerns. I recently contacted Kegland and found them very helpful, very quick to...

    Fermzilla

I am ending my post on this matter now. I have found a solution to the problem albeit introducing components additional to the design. Anything that I have posted isn't a poor reflection on Kegland, on the contrary, I am pleased with the Fermzilla and feel sure that Kegland will improve what is...

    Fermzilla

I have tested as described above for 3 days now. Over this period I still had a small loss in pressure even with the "O" ring in situ. I am pursuing a further idea, I have now used the spare "O" ring which is the one for sealing the inner cap by placing it around the rim of the inner cap thus...

    Fermzilla

Sorry to hear that you are having the same problems as me. I posted a few days ago asking for suggestions as how to overcome this. I wasted a full gas bottle of gas ($31.50) to try to find where the leak was. Like you...from the lid ! Theoretically, the the lid should not really need to be too...

Leaking from the out connector on the cap...one which I had installed, not quite sealing around the grommet.

    Fermzilla

Further to my previous post thanking members for their help. Having used a bottle of gas to try to resolve this issue my visiting son suggested that I should use a bike tyre pump with an attached quick disconnect instead of gas, I am posting a picture of what I did, also adopting the suggestion...

    Fermzilla

Recently bought a 27 ltr Fermzilla, decided to test it for pressure and set the spunding valve. I have a leak somewhere and can't find it ! Using soapy water in a spray bottle isn't finding the leak anybody got a suggestion?

    TILT HYDROMETER

I have aTilt hydrometer for sale. This is the latest model, bought 8 weeks ago. I have used it 3 times and find that it is not for me. I paid $200 for it and am willing to sell it for $100 plus postage to the buyers address. No silly offers please.

    TILT HYDROMETER

Thanks guys for your reply. I managed without a Tilt for 12 years...I think I will return to my old way.

    TILT HYDROMETER

Recently bought a Tilt Hydrometer. Used it for the latest three brews. Not altogether sure if the readings I am getting both from OG or FG are acurate ! I have calibrated in water for both gravity and temperature. The readings I get for OG do not correspond to the readings by either...

    Robobrew 3

Thanks for your reply. I am amazed to learn that you have actually mashed 6.9 kgs of grain ! I never expect to be mashing that volume. My inclination is to brew session beers, particularly ales, 4-4.5 %. I am particularly interested in brewing full bodied ales with lots of flavour rather than...

    Robobrew 3

Having not seen the Robobrew 2, it appears the manufacturer has been quick to respond to improvment suggestions from users. One of the improvements has been, to introduce a second false bottom, one which has more perforations I believe, and obviously smaller in diameter holes. This might sound...

    Robobrew 3

Just ordered a Robobrew 3. Looking on line....Youtube videos etc to try to glean something useful, with respect to mash water volumes, or water to grain ratios. I have brewed for some time now using my self made HERMS...quite successfully, but the Hermit controller which has served me well needs...

    Coopers new beer kits

Thanks Wobbly, I did search but could not find the recent posting where some member posted a link that included the latest Coopers brew kits in the spreadsheet. I have used the spreadsheet for the last 8 years.
