    KegLand Questions and Answers

Looks like these would be able to fit into your mini kegs too, any chance of a smaller designed float for use in those?

Does anyone that bought a digiboil get a lid that doesn't fit the digi boil exactly? It's not the end of the world but wondering if mine was a mistake or intended

    Fermzilla

I have both the zilla and rounder and while I was so happy with the idea of the zilla and its usefulness, I just don't use it enough to warrant it. With the extra parts I'm not crazy on having to clean it all out (the rubber seal looks like its got some yeast in there which I will need to take...

    Hefe without wheat?

Cheers Mark for the information and the tips, I'm reading up on the style now. The Dampfbier you have tried, did it have much bannana/clove? I'll be splitting the batch a few times to play with temp and pitch rates and do a side by side with dextrose too. I kinda feel like I should be doing it...

    Hefe without wheat?

Hi guys, Looking for anyone thats used a hefe yeast in a non wheat beer before. I'm feeling like making a hefe style beer, I've got WLP 300 and a cube of pilsner based wort ready from the other brew day. Looking for a banana/clove style beer. Just wanted to know how much of the clove/banana...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Thanks for this, I will also give it a go and report back, easier than trying to bend a square piece of SS mesh into a suitable filter every brew!

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Separate topic but if you could attach some flexible SS mesh to this dip tube you could create a cheap filtered floating dip tube in order to dry hop loose in fermenter. I have set this up but the mesh I ordered was too fine so I get some foaming currently. Just a thought

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Yeah I do have the seal 11 on my tap and its in good condition, I use a non KL chrome plated adapter and it seals fine. The issue seems to be when the adapter is tightened up as far is it can go it's putting no tension on the adapter onto the back of the tap. I've got no tension at all in other...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Hi guys, I recently purchased a MFL Shank adapter from KL (https://www.kegland.com.au/stainless-mfl-tap-shank-adaptor.html), the issue is I can't get the adapter to seal against my Intertap FC . There's a mention of a nylon washer being recommended but in this case the adapter seems pretty...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Haha true, so plenty. Also had a question for Kegland regarding their kegerators. I'm thinking of purchasing one soonish, is there anything on the horizon for updated models or other fridges worth mentioning before I do? And also I can't find any warranty information about your kegerators...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

My vote would be for 5L and potentially a smaller size for taking out and dispensing with. This is an amazing idea for small batch brewing imo. What type of PSI would they be rated at do you think?

    Keg King kegerator series 4

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm pretty sure I'm going to pick one up, although my lounge room is adjacent to my dining room(open plan) and this is where it will live so hopefully I become immune to the noise. I like the idea of converting as I already have a fridge down stairs, but I use that...

    Keg King kegerator series 4

After reading through this whole thread, I'm a bit confused, was considering buying a Kegerator but the few people who have had noise and other issues are kinda putting me off. Are there many that are really happy with their purchase? It's quite a substantial outlay and at the moment I just...

    Looking for Hornindal Kveik strain

Good to know its not a packaging yeast but it's been on the stir plate for 48 hours and no action yet. Just added dregs of another two cans but will see. Either way I got to try some new beer, very easy drinking for a 7.4%. Out of curiosity did you know forsure it was Hornindal?

    Looking for Hornindal Kveik strain

Found some fresh Nordic's at the local bottle shop, got it currently on the stir plate. I don't mind sharing it if I can culture it up(it was very clean in can) but to be honest I'm still keen for the original from Norway either way, from what I hear its very unique,.so if interested I'm still...

Keg modding for floating dip tube to begin dry hopping

Some great solutions here I must admit. I ferment in corny kegs(and mini kegs too) and I bought sheets of stainless steel filter around A4 size and have been cutting them into shapes and attaching them to the end of dip tubes and floating dip tubes. It's okay but every time I brew I have to...

    Fining from the bottom?

Long story short I've got a Wlp925 pressure ferment that's just about done or is done, currently under pressure in a fermzilla. I want to fine it out with gelatin but am a bit worried about oxygen by splashing it in from the top down now the ferment is done. If I purge a spare collection bottle...

    Looking for Hornindal Kveik strain

Yeah I'd be down forsure, from what I've read Hornindal is or has been traditionally top cropped in order to keep the strain the same. I've found a few other sellers of Kveik yeasts as well but hard to work out if they ship down here. I'm not sure which yeasts but I dont mind splitting $$ if...

    Looking for Hornindal Kveik strain

Thanks for the offer Moad I've already got some gjernes in the bank, just after hornindal and trying to pick up some Kveiking - A44 aswell. Great idea sponsorSFC, now I just need to find some rocky ridges. Did your yeast you built up resemble the commercial description? I've also found a...
