Grain in Sydney (Hills area) 2020

Hi guys Haven't been on here for a long time so lost touch with who is selling ingredients these days. Where's the best place to get sacks of grain in Sydney, preferably near the Hill's area? We have moved here from WA about 6 moths ago and still finding our feet. Have resumed brewing after a...

Using a genset for a Braumeister

Hi all Been a long time since I was here and I'm sure this might have been posted but CBF searching. I have looked through Google and AHB previously but couldn't find if anyone had managed it. I have recently moved into a rental and don't see myself being here long term. I have a 50 lt...

    Are grain sacks waterproof

Hi all Just spent 3 days hunkered down waiting out Cyclone Veronica in WA. I know some rain got blown up under the eaves of the shed and is probably on the floor. How waterproof are the sacks used for grain? Can I expect mouldy grain from here?

    All grain supplies in Karratha

Does anyone know if you can get all grain supplies in Karratha? We are moving up that way and I'm wondering if I can get bulk grain. I have only found 1 supplier but have not had any response if they are still open.

    4WD clubs

I bought a 100 series Landcruiser last year in preparation for the expanding brood. I've been out bush a couple of times with my brother but getting a time when we are both available is getting more difficult. So I am thinking of joining a 4WD club. Is anyone here a member of a club and what...

    Taking Braumeister to USA

I currently have a Generation 1 (the white control box) 50lt Braumeister which has served me faultlessly. I may have an opportunity to move to the US next year for work and I am wondering if I can change out the control panel for a Gen 2 rated for 110V (the black control box). The other...

    Australia's burning again

Got notified late yesterday to not go to work today as we have to drive down Albany Highway. Large fire burning parallel to the highway. Looking at the Sentinel website, there's a fair bit of fire around the country. Stay safe everyone. With the dry winter in WA, I think this is start of a bad...

Any draftsmen on here? Need drafting software

We have just bought a house but the plans are from 1987 and are paper based. I am hoping to redo in some drafting software but don't want to pay a billion dollars to use AutoCAD. Is there a reasonably priced drafting software that does 2D house plans? or would it be easier to pay a drafty to do it?

I have about 50-60 750ml bottles up for grabs. most are clean but some will need a clean (have been stored outside in toolbox so covered in dust). Bottles are mostly crown seals with a handful of twist tops. Currently located in Boddington but we have moved back to Perth so I am looking to see...

Where to put the keg fridge?

Hi all For the first time we are in the process of building a new house, which coincides with me looking to get a keg fridge. Since this is essentially a clean slate, I was curious where people have their keg fridges. We will probably have an open plan family/kitchen/dining room, and separate...

    Kegstar kegerator

Has anyone used a Kegstar Kegerator as sold by Brewcraft? From what I have read here the Keg King type is pretty common and pretty good (with upgraded taps), but was curious about the Kegstar version.

    Big W 19lt False Bottom - FREE

Hi all I have a pre-drilled Big W 19lt pot that I was going to use for a single vessel recirc system. I gave up on the idea and bought a BM so I don't have any use for this. It is pre drilled with 3 or 4mm holes (can't remember now) and is excellent as a false bottom (very little grain passes...

One for the IT gurus - MS Excel

I see quite a few guys on here either work in IT or know far more than I about IT related matters. We use MS Excel for our production reporting, mainly because its easy to manipulate but also because commercial programs can be very frustrating as any changes you require usually mean you need to...
