    Boil kettle floating dip tube

Just had a thought about possibly using a floating dip tube in the boil kettle. I use a plate chiller so need to avoid as much hop matter as possible. Whirlpooling isn't an option as it's an electric kettle and has the element running through it. What are peoples thoughts on this?

@CEO Keg King and @KegLand-com-au can you two put a set of gloves on and jump in a ring or something? A 7 paragraph response bagging out a competitors product is insane. Leave your squabbles in the courtroom.

    Stainless hop spider

This is it in action and disassembled. The mesh is folded at each end with pliers to make a seam at each end. It worked awesome, I'd done IPA's that used up to 180 grams of kettle hops with no issue at all. It drained every last drop and the pump didn't miss a beat. It did leave about 3.5 litres...

    Stainless hop spider

I tried similar to that WEAL and the mesh will collapse in on itself, guaranteed. I ended up doing what you see in the photos. Basically just used the mesh folded over, with the stainless ring/thread section put into the middle to prevent collapsing/suction. I had 2 of these connected via a tee...

    Foam, carbonation and kegging

Thanks for all the replies. I've turned the pressure down to around 7/8 and it seems a lot better. Next stop is a fan. It also looks like I have a keg that is bringing air in from the liquid disconnect somehow. There is a fine stream of bubbles going through the lines even when filled with...

I just let it carb at 10 PSI and serve at 10 PSI.

    Foam, carbonation and kegging

Picture this: An ice cold lager (XXXX, Carlton Draught, VB etc) poured at a pub in a schooner glass with an inch of head and bubbles that never stop rising off the bottom. That is how I want my beers to pour. The beer that comes out of my taps have a lot more foam than needed and isn't very...

KK - 'Fermentasaurus' conical PET fermenter

What will be the price of the "Thermentor King" and when would it be available? Also, what price for the Gen 3 and when would it likely be available? Cheers

What happened to the Keg King Giveaway thread?

This whole forum is turning into a joke. Between the bitching about KG vs KL, the fights and accusations between members and now this sort of shit. It's laughable some of the stuff on here

    Split top keezer build

@ABG is the 5mm beer line the evabarrier stuff? What's the advantage of the duotight fittings over the barbs I currently have? The barbs seem to be doing the trick

    Split top keezer build

A bit late now!! [emoji23] They've been pretty good so far I reckon. A bit foamy but I also put that down to warmer beer in the lines in the tower. Dunno though. The flow control does allow to pour slower if need be which helps a bit too I think. I'll persist with them for a bit as I don't want...

    Split top keezer build

Might go to 5mm in that case. Rather not have to deal with a bunch of new fittings. Cheers

    Split top keezer build

Yeah they do seem a little foamy, but not over the top, it's actually quite nice the big head. I'm going to get some 4mm evabarrier, would this be the go? And if I made the lines a smidge shorter, would this help with foaming? I I think I also might need a fan to help cool up in the tower.
