    65 litre RoboBrew Thread

16kg (even double that) isn't really that much weight to lift for most men. I can lift my 65L malt pipe with one hand without too much strain. You are not lifting it very high or very long.

Substitute yeast to limit banana esters?

There shouldn't be any Banana in a Berliner Weisse. You don't want to use a typical Weizen yeast in Berliner Weisse as you don't want the yeast derived esters. This will give you a better idea of what to aim for. http://www.bjcp.org/style/2015/23/23A/berliner-weisse/ It should be clean with...

Rum and Raisin "Barrel Aged" Imperial Stout

Clarity makes a big difference to get red rather than brown. A small amount of black malt helps as well. I use a bit of carafa special II or III

    Where to buy hops?

I would add Project Hops to the Brewman suggestions. https://projectbrewing.com.au/project-hops/HOPS-c29962042 Just got 1.8kg delivered via express post, really quick turn around and well packaged. They have a fair amount of 2017 harvest hops.

    65 litre RoboBrew Thread

Yeah I did it with my 65L last weekend with room to spare. You could easily get 50L of standard full strength ABV beer out of a brew. There is a Brewzilla facebook group up an running with a few bits of feedback from people's brew days.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

@KegLand-com-au Have you got any more details on the sizing of the fermenting fridges or approximate pricing? I bought your 58L kegmenter to go with my incoming 65L Robobrew but it won't fit in my current fermenting fridge. I am looking at other options now but would like an idea of what you...

    Shopping list for new starter?

No problem. When you get around to measuring and cutting your lines it is easier to make them a bit longer at first then shorten them if need be. However if you are buying it as a package KL may just ship with it precut to their recommended length.

    Shopping list for new starter?

I would get the standard non FC intertaps and just balance your lines. Cheaper and will give you a better pour.

Why are Aussie lagers called "bitters"?

I also think most of these beers started as ales and then transitioned to lagers over time.

    Aldi specials

Paulaner Original Munchner Hell is in my opinion the perfect lager. I absolutely love it. I think Franziskaner make better Weizens in particular the Dunkel.

    Aldi specials

The Oktoberfest should have a higher ABV at 6.3% vs 5.3% for the Original.

New KegLand - Multi/Universal Ball Lock Keg Post - WIN FREE STUFF

If I had both on a keg I would probably try adding a floating dip tube to the gas post and possibly carbonate through the liquid post.

    2018 WASABC'S (WA Comp)

Congrats Ben on the overall win. Interestingly both my sours had a higher score than my IPA that won a medal. Obviously stronger competition in those sectors. Had some really great feedback that should improve my beer. Scores ranged between 31-38 so pretty happy with where I am at 6 months in...
