    probably also due to it finishing so low (1.000). cider usually gets better with age. leave it for as long as you can handle.

    i wouldn't let it bother you. at the end of the day, your mate is drinking better beer (albeit marketed poorly on all fronts). it only gets better from there.

    completely agree. i've always had great results with JW malts. never had issues.

    after looking at the files it seems the style guidelines are altogether in one/two files - style/style1.bsmx - so i'm assuming i'd need to do some code work if i wanted to remove the fadøl style guides and older bjcp guides from my lists :(

    it's what i do mate. sadly, i can't afford 'craft beer bar' prices; apart from the botany view hotel in st. peters/newtown. their prices are quite cheap. give that a try if you're around. no affiliation.

    the only thing i can think it could be is the yeast culture giving poor performances. yes, culturing can be good, but you can never be sure that culture is going to be completely healthy. would you consider using a yeast such as us-05 or something similar to get the desired neutral profile...

    mash for 90 mins and add a mash out step. should fix the gravity issue unless it's something else (volume or milling) "Misc - IPA Water profile achieving 300 ppm for sulphate"... pratty you're going to turn into sulphate hahaha .

    of the dry strains, i've had better success mate with mangrove jack's m20(?) or whatever the number is. much nicer than wb06.
