as far as i know rod LME is 20% water so u would need 20% less of DME thus 2.4kg. far from an expert but im pretty sure this is right. if all else fails just check it in a beer calculator of some sort. you should notice that 2.4kg DME would work out at same alcohol % as 3kg LME

using calculations in brew mate with those hop additions at 6% it comes up as 50 ibu. not sure what im doing wrong here

i cant see anything that says what it is callibrated to. first time i had these problems i checked in tap water and it was sitting at spot on 1.000 but these were much hotter days, so water may have been around 26-28. checked for visible cracks and **** cant find any. is it possible that there...

i had a half full (750 pet) bottle of boiled and cooled water/bit of LME. so once i bottle all the good stuff off of a previous brew i just put a heap of the trub into the pet and put airlock on top. filled to about 3/4 full with trub so was about 150ml of good stuff in there id say.

it works ok running up or down so long as its close to verticle? would 4 mtrs long be enough for 2 different types of hops so long as i start one from each end dont spose you have a photo so i can make sure im doing it right? thanks mate

yeah id have to say that even in our colder months i dont think the heat belt would even get switched on that often or for long periods of time so even if its not a pressing requirement i dont think it would hurt to have one in there anyways. especially if you have a fan blowing air from bottome...

mine: 100 crown seal tallies 60 crown seal stubs 30 coopers pet bottles looking to expand to either grolch bottles or just more tallies. best way to go is wait for the BWS 20% off all beer carton weeks(2 week period twice a year) and buy a couple cases of coopers pale or sparkling tallies...
