BOM relies entirely computer generated forecasts these days. Forecasts with a human touch are still much more accurate and there are usually plenty of sites with local knowledge for many areas.

I love beer and brewing, but..

Here you go. With regular self-adjustment, you can even keep both feet warm in winter.

Mash Master Mill Master Mini mill Bulk Buy.

I originally had my MM set to the width of a credit card but found it a touch too fine for BIAB, so increased the gap by a fly ****. I'd start off at the credit card width and go from there. Sorry I can't be more precise but I'm not one for precise measurements. Had mine for 6 odd months now...

    F*ck you Woolworths

Back in the early 90's it was much harder to find work. After holding a few jobs I didn't enjoy, and being out of work for a few weeks,I decided to move down to the central coast of NSW. Big mistake. Wyong had one of the highest unemployment rates in the country. So I applied for a job at Aston...

    Vaping

I'd like to give the smokes away too. Usually a very placid bloke, but after a couple of days without them I turn into a rotten, angry, aggressive ******* and my wife begs me to start smoking again. So, is there any way for a QLD'er to buy vaping products, containing nicotine legally?

Couple of hot days in Melbourne

It's almost certainly ruined. Water won't boil at 80c unless you're brewing on Mt Everest. Assuming you meant mash temp? You could try adding a sterile sugar solution to the fermentor to dry it out a bit, and give the fermentor a gentle swirl to rouse the yeast, but because it's been...

The first country to master true artificial intelligence will control the planet, then.....the machines will find their makers superfluous/redundant/dangerous and destroy us all. Only a matter of time if we're not careful, and we're not being careful. Universal income, because of more...

Played prop myself for a local league team and few rep games here and there. Scrums were a contest back then. A strong forward pack and good hooker won quite a few scrums against the feed. Even had an agreement with a few opposite numbers that I'd do my best not to hurt them if they did there...

    Gravity

It's carbon dioxide bubbles you're seeing mate. If you use the calculator provided, you'll see that when your hydrometer is calibrated to 20c, and your hydro is reading 1012 at a presumed 18c, when the temp rises to 33c the hydrometer will read 1015. Sounds close to what you are noticing, no?

Temperature differences between fermenting and ambient messing with your reading is your problem. Have a play with this. https://www.brewersfriend.com/hydrometer-temp/

Some of us just aren't as eloquent and concise as others in our writing. As for grammar, those of us who haven't needed to apply it much tend to forget after 30 odd years of finishing school. Edit- Clarity and grammar.

What constitutes a natural death? By that logic we should withhold all life extending treatment.

Does this AG APA recipe make sense?

100g of Vienna won't help your beer. Subbing out a kg of Pils for Vienna will. Edit- I Have a similar beer to your Blonde on tap ATM, with the Vienna upped. All Cascade. Fermented out to 1004 with Notto. Very dry, easy drinking deliciousness.

Reasons? Obviously aliens have used their superior technology to perfect interstellar/intergalactic travel for the sole purposes of mutilating cattle, probing anuses and becoming POTUS. It's the aspiration of all aliens. Oh, don't forget crashing. They've overcome the immense difficulties of...

    Fermentation time and method

To me, it depends on the yeast. When using something like Notto or MJ 42 in an easy drinking ale of 4-5% abv , for example, at around 18c the brew is finished fermenting in 3-4 days then another 4 days conditioning/dry hop, taste and if there are no " green beer" flavours, I'll crash for 2 days...

Of course a balanced diet is ideal and eating a lot of highly processed foods isn't good for people. Any more than 2 standard drinks is considered binge drinking apparently too. I drink a corney every 2-3 weeks but I don't expect to die of liver disease any time soon. Alcohol has been proven to...
