    Lager recipe without lager yeast

Your beer may taste ok fermented in the low 20's but it won't taste larger-like. The flavours produced by us-05 or 34/70 are going to stick out like dogs balls at that temp without stronger malt and/or hop flavours to mask them.

    Pilsner: Joe White vs BestMalz/Weyermann

Totally agree with @goatchop41 with the Munich. A kg or two, with other lighter base malts in the mash is good..... all Munich can be a bit much.

    Pilsner: Joe White vs BestMalz/Weyermann

I've found the opposite. JW and BB always produce clear worts with much less trub for me. Every beer I've made with the current sack of GF American Ale has a shitload of trub and the final product has been cloudy. I BIAB. Edit - I get a more floury crush with BB and JW but less trub which is odd.

    Out by oral.

From nine news sports page. Didn't know batsmen could get out this way. "Aussie opener Cameron Bancroft's tough summer continued after he was dismissed for a suck, while England had a sniff at 2-86 when his opening partner David Warner (56) fell to a nice ball from James Anderson."...

Using wheat as a specialty grain in a pale ale

Old fridges and temp controllers are fairly cheap. If space is an issue, one of our local brewers does this.

    Ingenious

Shame the Kiwi's around here aren't as enterprising. The "snapping handbags" would significantly reduce the current infestation we're experiencing.:noworries:

Using wheat as a specialty grain in a pale ale

It'd work well, though I'd use the wheat instead of the maltodextrin for a bit of body and head retention. You could use 1/2 a kg of Marris Otter for a touch of that fresh malty flavour. Any less probably won't be very noticeable.

    Couple Of Ferment Fridge Questions

I wen't with an upright freezer. It's easy to get the 2 fv's in an out and brings the temp down to pitching/ cc'ing temps very quickly compared to a fridge. I also believe it uses less power than a fridge due to having more insulation. Got mine for $50.

    What's with the PC ********?

I'd say it's religion that ***** the people up because it's often fundamentally, the rantings of a collection of tyrannical psychopaths. Good people will do good things regardless of religion or lack thereof. At least atheists who do good aren't doing good for fear of eternal damnation if they...

    What's with the PC ********?

Then in true convoluted Christian style Jebus says..... Matthew 10:34, "Think not that I am come to bring peace on earth: I came not to bring peace, but a sword.

    Learning

As mentioned, with 3 carb drops, it's almost certainly over carbed. Sounds strange that over carbing can result in flat beer but if you're getting a lot of foam (head) in the glass it will often result in flatter beer. A bit like shaking the **** out of a stubbie, opening it immediately...

Has mash ph been an improvement for you?

When I started brewing, this was my "go to" method for better beer. Although that was around 30 years ago, and the instructions on the kits advised a kg of white sugar and ferment at silly high temps, you had to be pissed already to drink beer anyway, but it certainly did improve it:turning...

    Coopers Canadian Blonde suggested improvements

Is there any way you can hook your bottling wand up to the end of your syphon? It'd make bottling easier, quicker and decrease problems associated with racking.

    Coopers Canadian Blonde suggested improvements

Neither, secondary is pointless in your situation. Let at least 20 g swim free in the fv for a few days after or just before fg, crash for a couple of days and bottle.
