Sounds like you have kept good notes to help improve the next brew. Clean as you go will definitely shorten brew day. I've got to admit after 10 or so brews (on the GF) I am still yet to actually use the chiller I just whirlpool for 10 or so minutes after the boil and then pump into a cube...

    shiraz concentrate for sour beer

Man I need to get hold of some different Cantillion bottles. I just looked this up, sounds awesome. I can see why you want the concentrate and not a fermented Shiraz, although I think that would work beautifully as a different sour to the one you intend here. If the concentrate is of the...

Nice, I just tested these out versus on the new version against the Grainfather Calculator and it works great, for different amounts of grain. The mash volume is spot on, the sparge volume appears out by a couple of hundred mL compared to the calculator at least for me but the volume etchings...

    Homebrewing has ruined popcorn!

The wife and I sat down this evening to catch up on some Rv shows with a bowl of ALDI buttered popcorn . I couldn't finish it! All I could smell and taste was diacetyl. Has anyone else experienced this since starting Homebrewing and learning to associate the smell and taste as a bad thing?

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

Nomad Freshie Salt and Pepper Gose. From their label: Slightly tart. Check. Coriander. Check. Salty. Check. But it has the aroma and taste of a European lager to me, even though they mention it's too fermented. Don't get me wrong, I like it a lot, it would definitely go down well as a summer...

    POLL: Do you keg?

Keg. Bottle from the keg now that I have one of the Keg King counter pressure bottle fillers, which is awesome. For some case swaps, sours or aged beers I'll bottle. Even then most of my sours get bottled from the keg using separate keg King carb caps.
