    iSpindel Digital Hydrometer

No sorry, I have only really fiddled with those settings for the Metric

    iSpindel Digital Hydrometer

Yes, but you do that from your dashboard, not from the device settings. Go Create Widget -> Metric -> Last Value After you have created your widget, hit the down arrow on it, and then click on Settings |number:2 is how many decimal places it should show. You can also do calculations like I have...

Sweet that looks good. Yeh the gravity is only correct if you set the formula in the iSpindel config. I didn't do that originally so I am still using the Plato derived function just because I am too lazy to change it over. Remember to change the 1.045 value to your first hydrometer reading when...

    iSpindel Digital Hydrometer

So this is your Plato formula. The iSpindel already automatically sends the tilt, so go into Ubidots and at the top navigate to Devices -> Your iSpindel -> Add Variable -> Derived Function Then in the formula you need to enter the above, clicking on the tilt variable from 'Add Data Source' so...

Newish Asus routers can be used together to create a mesh network with the latest firmware. That's what I have done with two RT-AC68U's and it runs like a dream. Go to Devices -> iSpindel -> Add Variable -> Derived To add the SG you need to calibrate the iSpindel using the "Kalibration"...

Robobrew and associated costs for all grain brewing

I'm also looking at moving from extract to all grain with Robobrew end of this year/early next. Not sure if I can justify the cost/effort yet. Hopefully ordering kegs next week as the next step in my homebrew journey.

    iSpindel Digital Hydrometer

To get it in configuration mode, press the reset button on the esp8266 about six times in quick succession. After a few seconds the blue led will flash every second-ish. Then you can see the iSpindel SSID appear on your phone or pc. When you connect to it, it will take you to the config webpage.

How can I maintain fermentation temp?

I have an old fridge (turned to the coldest setting) + Inkbird 308 + small PC fan + mangrove jacks heat pad. Does the job nicely.

Been lurking for way too long !

Welcome! How are you liking the transition from extract to all grain with the robobrew? Is it way easier? More fun? Have you noticed an improvement to beer quality? I am looking to do the exact same next year. Possible Christmas or birthday present :D

What does this event entail? I am not interested in submitting anything. I just want to try different brews and learn the art of the trade. I'm only new to brewing.

Second Ever Home Brew Batch - Some Questions

My local brew shop has a list of easy kit recipes. I have made the Wild Yak (#25) one and loved it. http://www.newcastlebrewshop.com/assets/newcastle-brew-shop-recipes2.pdf I did: 1 can MJ's classic dry blonde (https://mangrovejacks.com/products/australian-classic-blonde-dry) 500g Dextrose...
