    Ultratap versus Intertap

I know it's in an earlier post, but can you please mark which tap is which in an photos/posts :) For others: Left = Ultratap, Right = Intertap

    new to brewing

Completely normal. Try not to open the fermenter at all whilst it is going otherwise you risk more oxygen creeping in. Enjoy your beer!

    Ultratap versus Intertap

You have made 76 posts so far on this website, and not a single one is helpful to anyone. In fact all of them are in Kegland/Keg King related threads. You should either contribute something to the wider forum and something to newer brewers in general, or just kindly **** off. As much as some...

    Ultratap versus Intertap

13 pages and only one legit comparison. Just delete the entire thread and start over I think.

    Recycling Yeast Cake

Great, thanks for all your help guys :)

    Brew not bubbling

I've had brews before that didn't bubble at all, and ones that went off like a firecracker, and one that took 60hrs to begin fermentation. First things are to check your gravity, and make sure your fermenter is sealed tight.

    Recycling Yeast Cake

Lots of good information here. I'm about 2 weeks away from needing to recycle my yeast cake. But just to get the basic instructions broken down: Add some water to fermenter and shake around the trub Collect it into a couple of clean mason jars (or a soft drink bottle, etc) Chuck it in the...

First try at cider.. May have failed

Everyone reckons my latest cider smells like a toilet (I don't think it's that bad), but no one can fault the taste!

    Recycling Yeast Cake

Fair point, I was just unsure if that could work. Seems like the right way to go since I nearly always keg and brew on the same day.

    Recycling Yeast Cake

I'm about to start recycling my yeast cake as the plain dry yeast packets aren't quite cutting it for me and I finally bought some US-05. If I fill up a mason jar with yeast, I can get ~3 pitches out of that right? Can I then fill up a mason jar with each successive brew and use that...

Devastated - fermenter leapt out of the fridge and split its guts everywhere

My condolences, but for every mistake we make, we learn something new. Everyone has these fancy shelves and I am sitting here with 3 brick tiles supporting/lifting my Fermenter over the compressor hump lol

    iSpindel Digital Hydrometer

Yeh I am not sure what it was running before, but I had never updated it. Took me 4hrs just to get the drivers installed lol. Not sure why it just stopped and if it was related to the battery or charging at all. Got there in the end though. I've got an XPA that I only put in last night...

Reflashing with the latest firmware seems to have fixed the issue

When and how to keg my wort kit

I always cold crash and add finings so I don't get sediment. It's not harmful to get in the keg or glass, but could block your dip tube. As for pouring from your tab; it would be best to hook up a tube to the bottom of the glass so that you don't splash and oxidise the beer. PS. I did this...

    iSpindel Digital Hydrometer

I left my iSpindel on and wireless charging yesterday whilst I cleaned my fermenter. Made my next brew and put it in, but it seemed to have stopped sending to Ubidots an hour before I put it in. I took it out this morning and it won't turn on. It seems to charge fine. Has anyone encountered this...

When and how to keg my wort kit

I've only done this once, second will be tonight, but here is my (current) process: 0. Check your hydrometer 2-3 days in a row and make sure the FG hasn't changed 1. Wash kegs and push through lines 2. Sanitise kegs and push through lines (already done. Did all 3 kegs at once). 3. Add some CO2...
