Do yourself a favour and ring the water Corp and tell them exactly where you live and what you want the water report for and they will email you a copy, I live in Hamersley and I’m on the Mt yokine locality plant, even within one suburb your water can be from different plants.

I also live in WA and I phoned the water Corp and asked for a report and told them it was for beer brewing purposes and they emailed me a more comprehensive copy, only prob was is that they give upper and lower levels of the minerals and salt in your water and levels can vary anywhere in between...

Yep I tried the collection bottle with the same results as you :( so now I either put my hops in through the top at time of pitch or at high Krausen and that allows the fermenter to re pressurise naturally and chew up any oxygen let in when you lift the lid. Cheers.

Hey Stefan Here’s some basic water additions that will get your RO water close to good for you to start with.

That’s the one I just picked up, good unit.

Looks ok, I believe a 3 stage is what you want as any thing more than 3 stage has an alkaliser which raises the ph to give you a better drinking quality water. Follow these instructions for basic water chemistry.

Check out eBay, just purchased a 3 stage RO filter wall mounted for $129. I don’t think you need to test RO water as it comes out basically mineral and chlorine free and is regarded as a blank canvas.
