I've replied to the Frenchman but I figure there's probably a few chasing it - 23 litre batch size @ 81% brewhouse efficiency 1.073 OG 1.012 FG 134 theoretical IBU 5.8kg Pearl or other British pale. Pearl is what they use but I've done it with Maris Otter and Golden Promise to equal success...

Just getting back to read through the thread and you're right, heady topper is the one. I'm quite happy to share the recipe, if anyone wants. The malt bill is basic as but the hop bill is intense. It's probably the 4th time I've done it and it's always been sensational, the Vermont Ale yeast...

Also Liam I have a 1.25 Coke bottle of Vermont ale yeast and it's probably realistically 80% hop trub but there's definitely yeast in there. Anthony too

No. 14 - rokaxe's IRA - not a bad drop. Good bitterness, maybe a touch over the top but it's a solid beer overall.

Aydos dark rye IPA - nice hop aroma, not overpowering. Pours well, some head but it doesn't hang about. Colour is lovely, deep black. Tastes good - exactly what I'd expect a dark rye IPA to taste like. Hoppy with some dark malt background, I do get the rye (which is great, I love rye in beers)...

Yeah I had one of my leftovers. It's got some booze but it's not what I expected. Still a nice beer but the alcohol could benefit from another few weeks or so. Some of the guys on Facebook beer thread may have tried it yet though, I enjoyed it

Angus' raisin porter. It's probably because it's cold but I don't get a ton of raisin - that's a good thing though. The balance is good at what I'm tasting, enjoyable. Very good porter base with just a touch of the raisin. Pours well, keeps a good head, colour is lovely.

I didn't notice any really. The flavours I got were pretty well spice and a hint of citrus. Couldn't pick any corn

Tonight - Adro's English IPA. Very good. Clean bitterness and nice malt character
