    Dry hopping a Saison

Update: Not loving it. Went a bit warm during mash so it's a bit too malty for the style. That mandarina bavaria hops is full on too. I decided not to dry hop following my first taste and am glad i didn't. Next time, I'll go for something a bit less intense.

2017 Hop Plantations, Show Us Your Hop Garden!

Any chance you might be able to give me some more details on where specifically around Forrest I can find some? I'm heading down next weekend and would LOVE to get my hands on a rhizome or two. I won't have a huge amount of time to forage, as I'm mountain biking with mates who will not have the...

    New shanks don't fit!

Sorry, looks like this came through twice. Ignore this second thread. I don't know how to delete. Other post was deleted.

    New shanks don't fit!

I'm building a keezer and today went to install my taps. I have 2 brumby style taps that were used on a tower on my old kegerator. Thanks to the generosity of malt junkie I now have some new shanks so I can mount it to the keezer collar. Only issue is, they don't fit for a few reasons. The new...

WANTED - Long shanks for taps

I have two brumby style taps, and am building a keezer following the death of my home made kegerator. Looks like the short shanks on the taps are too small to penetrate the keezer wall. Before I go buy replacement shanks, thought I'd test the market here.

    Are these hops?

Great, thanks Mardoo. I was looking at the middle one this morning and I'm now certain it's just grass. The kind that sends those runners under your garden.

    I built a keezer

That is awesome! I just bought a new chest freezer to build my keezer next week. Will be referring to this a few times.

    Wild Hops

What will that evidence look like? When my hops are finished, the bine completely vanishes.

    Are these hops?

I'm making some changes in my veggie garden and while preparing soil I dug around looking for some rhizomes I planted last year. I found one thing that appears to be the crown, and also a couple of other rhizomy looking doovies. There is a lot of oxalis in that same area that I've been ripping...

    Wild Hops

That's a good point, there's probably no bines at this time of year I suppose. Dang!

    Wild Hops

In a few weeks I'm going to Forrest in the Otways for a mountainbiking weekend with some mates. I've read online and in a few posts here that there are wild hops growing around the area, most likely from the local hop industry a century ago. I'm very interested in grabbing a few...
