I did that first. My 5l plastic measuring jugs with 5l is 5kg on the scales. After zeroing to take the weight of the empty jug.

So far happy with my Robobrew. No dramas, nice and easy, everything working. Only thing is measurement marking are out by a litre. I just measure everything going in anyway. It's the new pump model too.

I'd be interested if these would work in a Robobrew too.

How long does uncrushed grain last in a non air tight container?

Thanks for the replies. Will do that for next time. I did start ramp up at 80 min, then held for 10 min once reached 78.

So when mashing out, when do you start to increase the temp. Eg, recipe calls for a 90 min mash at 66 degrees, then mash out at 78 for 10 mins. My equip takes about 10 mins to increase the temp, so do I start the increase at 80 mins or at 90 mins?

Ended up adding 25g. Thought I'd keep to the recipe in my early AG days.

I've just started the boil on my Dr Smurtos AG. The recipe called for 1g/l of Amarillo at 0 mins. Is this the pre or post boil volume that is usually referred too. I've got 55 mins left until either 29 or 25g go in.

I've used that stuff as a gas line to go from bottle to 3 way manifold. Great fit for the 7mm barb fittings

I cool sample in fridge to 20 degrees then use hydrometer. Need to get refractometer soon.
