    Giveaway: Keg Fridge

Hey Guys, I updated my keg fridge so am giving away my old fridge ( or a few of your finest batch). So if you want to get into kegging, here is a great place to start. Fits 4 kegs in it. Has 3 holes pre-drilled in the front for taps and one in the side for the gas lines. I had a wooden board in...

    Smoking Meat...

Although I've used a Weber before to cook meat, today was the first time I used a smoker (from the Aldi sale). It was only a 1.2kg brisket but was in for 6hours at about 110c. Wrapped it in foil when internal temp was about 70c. Took it out at 90c and rested for about 45 mins. I used some...

    New Fridge Build

You're probably right. I did already have some Valpour 5mmID hose and just got this other stuff from the LHBS. They both are already fitted to 5/16th JG gas and liquid disconnects.

    New Fridge Build

    New Fridge Build

Awesome, thanks, that's the info I needed. Now to figure out what sort of connection to use. I don't just want to put the hose straight through the side, but use a quick type disconnect to easily remove them when needed.

    New Fridge Build

So no-one has used the John guest bulk head connectors in the side of a fridge?

    New Fridge Build

So I got myself a new fridge to build my kegerator. I currently have one that fits 4 kegs and I have 3 taps through the front door. Got the new fridge (through Gumtree) that will now fit 6 kegs and also has a separate freezer compartment on the bottom, which is the main reason for the change...

    KEG LEAK HELP

Yeah, I'd try a new lid. Might be a little bent. Check the rim of the keg to see if you can feel any bends or burs. Are the post still leaking with new seals?

Why is boil volume so important?

I use the blue bunnings 20l jerry and it fits 23l in it. The wort seems to expand the container bit. I still have to give it a little squeeze to get the air out.

    Smoking Meat...

What temp did you have the ribs on and how long?

    Aldi specials

Seasoning the smoker now. Will have to give it a spin tomorrow.

    Aldi specials

Woohoo. Thought I'd be too late, but the Manly Aldi had one smoker left.

    NZ IPA

Looks good. Don't think I could get 7.5kg in the Robobrew though. Might have to scale a bit.

Newsflash, Sydney man buys crappy brewery and shed and makes the news

I just saw the Gumtree video add. :fallingoffchair: See how he pours the beer into the keg? Nothing like a bit of oxidised beer.

Complete setup FS - Picobrew, kegerator, etc.

How's the Pico go? Wish I could justify this.

    Show us your grain crush

Yeah, saw those photos after I started this thread. I have had a stuck sparge in the Robobrew, but that was using 50% wheat in the grain Bill. Didn't use rice hulls.

    Show us your grain crush

So after reading a lot about grain crush and whether or not it too fine, or not fine enough, I thought I'd throw up a picture of my crushed grain to see what peoples thoughts are. This is for a Robobrew system. I usually get about 80% - 85% efficiency. Is this too fine?, too floury? Show us...
