I think the original ones have 2 mm holes and 2 mm thick, but it's been a while since I saw those measurements. Where are you getting your plate Peter?

Thanks Edak :icon_cheers: For such a quick fix it worked surprisingly well, except the T piece with the barb fitting would fall over in the pump breaks so I had to be there to hold it up :) I'll fab up something more permanent before next brew.

Top plate started bending straight away so had to pause for a few quick mods and the brew went really well after that.

I used to use my plastic mash paddle in the drill, it was a bit hard to keep in the middle of the whirlpool but it was fun :)

If you don't want a duel function temp controller that power point will work fine, it will just be either all cooling or all heating. If you want heating and cooling you'll need two outlets.

I think these jackets are good but all they are doing is slowing down how fast your keg heats up so it would be good in a cooler climate but in the heat of summer you'd only have a few hours at most before you'd have to return the keg to the fridge. But great if your keg isn't going to last that...

I know Nev uses a mesh basket to hold his hops in the boil seems to work well. You will have to join it well to hold the grain but I cant see a problem using it in BIAB.

This is my rig. It stays cold for a long time but I'd like a flow control tap for it as there is a fair amount of line inside, but it just get coiled around the bottom. Only holds a 9L keg tho.
