I use two of those large 70mm tea ball things and put 10-12g of hops per ball, dangle them in my keg for 3 - 7 days and bobs your uncle! Hoppy days!

Lol I was thinking of getting some of those small resistors to make it neat and tidy but I think I won't bother, it's not worth the effort. If you need an electron microscope to see it my soldering iron will be way too big.

This is what I do, I only need 2-3 frozen milk bottles of water and every ice pack and baby teether I can find in the freezer :) I have hot tap water as well so only goes down to mid 20's with tap water.

I've still got the original home made PCB's all soldered up in a draw for Matho's original PIC based controller, now that was a long time ago!

Bit late in the season mate, but you might be able to get a cutting off someone in your area, it will probably not produce this year but should set you up for next season.

And by the looks of things you know what your doing, those hops are impressive! Maybe I'll take it a bit easier on mine in the future :)

Great idea BottloBill I have some of those poles laying around since the netting on our trampoline decided to disintegrate :) My Red Earth is starting to take off now, I'll have to put up a photo next weekend. I've never seen any of my hops take off like that Hersbrucker that's impressive!

Did you get the 417 for the lid? I was thinking of getting 2 x 416 to try instead.

So you have the jacket hooked up to the chiller you had already? Sounds like you found a good solution, can you feel the cold on the outside or is the jacket well insulated?

I've been using one for the last 2 brews and it's been working great. The best thing was I already had an old STC 1000 set up to control my fridge and all I had to do was flash it.

I've still got a heap from a bulk otherwise I'd be keen.
