Yeah mine is portable as well, i like that i can keep it well clear when I'm spraying the hose around like a mad man trying to get my brew day finished in the dark. Plus I don't have the skills to weld up a mount on the base, or a welder lol.

I'm surprised that they seem to be single step mash's, only the last few have a few steps. They have a 0.5% beer in there. Bloody brilliant document. Edit: I was expecting a mash out and maybe a stop at 72 for a little extra head considering they use just pale Ale malt in some of their recipes.

Personally I'd just keep the good one. I'd be concerned that if one hole has needed patching are there more almost about to appear? It sux when you lose a keg of beer and maybe a bottle of gas because of equipment failure. But if they look ok and your ok with the solder you could use them for...

I think lael cut the bottom out of one stock pot and rivetted it into the same size pot to make a long one. You might have to do something similar.

Have you changed the soil in the 2nd year plant? Maybe it used up all the good stuff in the first year. I put a half a bag of cow poo and half a bag of chook poo on my plants in the off season to try get the soil ready for the growing season. Mine are in the ground so you might not want that...

Mine have hit the top of trellis at around 9 feet and have been searching for more. I have some leaves turning brown that I'm concerned about, I've looked it up and it could be lacking in nitrogen but I've been putting seasol and power feed on them every 2 weeks.
