    How long do FWKs last?

He just uses the tap on the cube. 4g/ltr is good for English ales

    How long do FWKs last?

You know I’m an engine and sparkler fan sean, but when you’re using your cube, do you just cool your cube down after priming and use the tap? Just crack the lid? My concern is that a full cube is a lot for one person, do you just seal the lid when you’re done for the night? I’m sure you have...

    Fermzilla

My only interest in getting a pressure fermenter ( all rounder or similar, no interest in a valve on the bottom ) is to skip a secondary and crash chill in primary and then closed transfer to keg. Bit off topic but is it possible to just use the co2 to do this ? Gravity sample? I’m quite happy...

    I can't bleach it's not StarSan

I had a 5 litre bottle of iodophor from an ag shop for I think a decade, and I wasted a lot of it. Worked great, I have star san but think I might go back to iodophor. Was pretty cheap too from memory. I liked that you could see from the colour how strong it was.

Buying in a 1V brewing instrument. Advice appreciated

In fairness, regardless of brand, electronics don’t like water lol. The cheeky peak stuff looks good though, I like the big basket and the fact a burner can be used with them

Buying in a 1V brewing instrument. Advice appreciated

I have a 35L robo. Previously had 3v setup, then basic BIAB. I’ve done 29 batches since November, it’s awesome. I have a cheap 2 roller grain mill from KL and it’s fine. I used to have a fancy one from the US, but the KL one works just as well IMHO. If you have 15amp, grab the 65l robo, I wish...

    Secondary Fermenting

I didn’t secondary for years. But now I find it frees up my fermenter ( I transfer to a plastic jerry can ), and when bottling, it helps it clear up. And oxygen, I have no doubt it’s better to reduce it, but I have never had a problem with oxidation. I avoid splashing when transferring, it’s...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Hey mate, it fits perfectly, it’s just a SS finish on an all black tap, I was only refrrring to the colour. Be cool to have a black nukatap ( already got one ) to serve my stouts with black handle ( which I have )and a matching black stout nozzle. cheers

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Just on that, any chance that a black stout nozzle can be made up to suit the black nukataps? I wanted the black tap to be my stout tap, but the SS nozzle doesn’t really match the black tap. First world problem I know

    Fermzilla

Plastic plus pressure plus big valve at the bottom is not a good idea no matter who makes them. If I was interested in pressure fermenting, which I’m not as plain old atmospheric has worked well for a very long time, it would be stainless, regardless of kegking/kegland dibbydobbing/nernernernerring

Bottle conditioning - sugar amounts for various bottle sizes (first brew)

Meh, a measured scoop in each bottle for the few batches I bottle every year isn’t exactly rocket science or hard work

    KegLand Questions and Answers

I use a plastic bin from Bunnings. 55l I believe. Nice lid that pushes down secure enough to keep pets out. I fit a full sack and room for a few bags of spec malt
