Chest Freezer (dying), Collar, 2x Celli FC Taps and 1 Cornie for sale

Time for a bump. Never heard back from Rosey6, so everything still available. Freezer and collar will head to the tip soon. For $100 you can have a plug and play collar and taps for the 210L chest freezers that commonly come up for sale on Gumtree and eBay (as I have been using for the last 10...

Chest Freezer (dying), Collar, 2x Celli FC Taps and 1 Cornie for sale

Hi- I have a few items I'm hoping to get moved on: - 210L Westinghouse Chest Freezer, 915mm high, 720mm wide, 655mm deep. Stopped holding low temp 6 months ago, but still holds 12 degrees (and has done since July): would make a good fermenting fridge/ British ale fridge. Free to a good home. -...

Biere de Garde Stuck at 1.030

Final update, After another week at around 25C, it has dropped to 1.006/7. Still tastes quite sweet, but this is probably the rummy alcohol- type sweetness which I guess will settle somewhat with conditioning. My feeling is to start chilling/ conditioning now- as I guess at 1.006 it's done...

Biere de Garde Stuck at 1.030

An update on this one, After all of your advice I left it another week, kept it at 21C and roused it a few times, managed to get it down another few points, but only to 1.028. So I pitched 2 packets of Belle Saison (rehydrated according to instructions etc etc). Dropped down to 1.012, but as...

Biere de Garde Stuck at 1.030

Thanks Manticle, Using a hydrometer, although my taste-buds also suffice at 1.032... Can't decide on whether to dump the crud out of the bottom of the conical at this stage.

Biere de Garde Stuck at 1.030

Hi all, I put down a BDG Gavroche-like beer 10 days ago, fermentables as follows: Wey Munich 64% Wey Pilsner 16% White sugar 10% (boil) Light Muscovado sugar 10% (boil) Mashed at 63C, (confirmed dial temp with digital stick temp), OG 1.076 (a few points over due to better than expected mash...

    Secondary Co2 Regulator

Anyone got tips on where to source a secondary CO2 regulator? Want to put on a keg of soda water for the pregnant misses... Usual suspects (G+G and CB) don't seem to have any. I have a Harris CO2 regulator. Thanks Remi

Oak, Dry Hop And Crash Chill

Thanks for the replies, I'm going to add pressure-cooker sterilised oak chips to my chilled fermenter today or tomorrow. One thing I couldn't really gather from searching was whether people are dumping the oak chips into the fermented wort as is, or whether they need to be bagged? Remi

Oak, Dry Hop And Crash Chill

Hi, I'm fermenting an American Rye Brown IPA, and am planning to add some oak in secondary. I will also be dry hopping in secondary (I use a conical). I would usually dry-hop for 3-4 days prior to crash-chilling. It is a 42L batch, and the plan is to add 100g bourbon-soaked oak chips, which...

    Homebrew Plug On Channel 31

Hi All, I was interviewed for a Channel 31 beer/wine related program called 'Top Drop' a couple of weeks ago. I missed it on the night, but the video is now on their webpage for 'catch-up' viewing. Hopefully I've given the world of homebrew a good bit of promotion, without crapping on too...
