Pink brass after soldering. Copper? Safe?

You can boil it first. I usually boil anything new to make sure its all good (if it can be boiled that is) But honestly a good clean/flush will do the trick

Pink brass after soldering. Copper? Safe?

Yep absolutely fine. I weld brass fittings to copper on jobs in the food and beverage industry and all we do is flush the system before use. You have to do that anyway to remove all the flaking in the copper due to oxidization.

Pink brass after soldering. Copper? Safe?

If your decribing what im thinking of, its from the copper. Just clean as you usually would newly welded fittings and it will be ok. If you're still unsure post up a pic and ill let you know

    Sly Fox Summer Ale

I'm kind of regretting that I didn't use more hops @ 10mins. Thinking I should have gone with maybe 35g each instead of 25. My recipe is a total of 120g hops. Country brewer sell hops in 60g packs and was kind of hoping it will be a good clone only using one pack of each. Might be a little...

    Font without thread

Cheap step drill bits from bunnings for around $20. I use them drilling penos on coolrooms for work. This is by far the easiest way for your problem plus alot cheaper than good holesaws. I promise that you will find step drill bits handy on more than just this occasion. Dont drill too fast and...

    Drunken purchases

I was at my Dads place, we were both equally drunk. He was "browsing" ebay for about an hour that night. I got up the next morning and he looked sick, I laughed at him thinking he had a huge hangover. He sure wasn't feeling the best, but it had nothing to do with a hangover. Turns out he just...

    Bargain Of The Week

I think they might have entered the 6 pack price as the single can price. I just had a look and its now $4.99 per can or $17.99 per 6 pack. Lucky if you got that deal :P

    Drip tray wanted

Anyone got any spare drip trays they wouldn't mind selling? The type that mounts vertically, like on the front of a fridge. Happy to pay for postage. Thanks

    Sly Fox Summer Ale

Brewed this today. To achieve a fg of 1.010 I had to use some dex, its a fairly light body beer so I think it will be fine. Just plugged the recipe into brewmate to get the og and fg I was after. If I used entirely DME it would have far too much body for what im attempting to achieve i think.

    Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

Yep, I saw alot of recipes calling for that much crystal. I used half that and it was still too much for a clone. Was a delicious beer, but more malty than SNPA
