    Scratch Bar over Xmas

The limit at Scratch is 100 not 60 & will be fine Yob, it's very, very unlikely you'd have to queue...

    Filtering Carbonated Beer

The 1 micron filter will only filter out yeast, not permanent haze, which it sounds like you have. If the beer has sat for 3 weeks & is still full of haze, it's highly unlikely to be yeast. I'd suggest looking at your brewing practices & maybe giving something like polyclar a go, it's highly...

    First blow out - Nottingham

For the record, I personally don't like Notto in apa's, but here's hoping it turns out alright... Cheers Ross

    First blow out - Nottingham

Jurt, Nottingham is my yeast of choice in our Porter. Don't listen to those that dismiss it as a terrible yeast. Won many an award using it and my favourite English ipa (meantime) uses it. You just need to learn how and when to use it Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

    Distilled Water - Brisbane

    Williamswarn Personal Brewery

As the owner of CraftBrewer I can pretty well guarantee I won't be stocking them & it's nothing to do with the profit margin (I have no idea what it is). From the info available, the machine & the technical support, do nothing to excite me. Not sure why you are trying to defend your purchase...

    Williamswarn Personal Brewery

I can't believe an answer like that from an educated brewer!!! Generalising that Wyeast & Whitelabs are pretty much dead when you get them is a shocking statement. And if by chance you did receive a virtually dead packet through misuse or old age, making a 1L starter for 24hrs would be nowhere...

    Williamswarn Personal Brewery

Wobbly, you posted the topic on a public forum & asked for discussion, so accept you're going to get responses at every level. You are saying you are trying to achieve the best beer possible; there are seriously better & more practical ways of doing it than this unit & though it appears not to...

    Williamswarn Personal Brewery

43 units sold in Australia hey, it's a shame some haven't posted here with their experiences. I got past the awful advertisement & it looks like it'll do the job, but for the money I'd personally rather ferment away from where I'm serving. Also, does the unit let you brew other beers while...

Subbing Ringwood ale yeast with US05?

No, nothing like it. Cheers Ross

Subbing Ringwood ale yeast with US05?

Truman, heed a bit of advice - Never pitch a Wyeast pack until it's expanded, there is no point pitching it earlier. All it does is cause you confusion & distress as it has here. If the pack doesn't swell the yeast is cactus, if it does, you know you are good to go & can judge your stepping up...

    US-05 insanely cloudy

Your question has been well answered so I don't feel too bad taking this a little off topic, but I can't leave a statement like this unchecked. Rubbish - Maybe you can't taste the difference, but yeast in suspension does make a difference to taste & I personally hate it. Drink your beer full of...

Qld Xmas 2013 Case Swap (Toowoomba) 14th Dec.

My crew have booked our staff party at the German Club on the 14th, so unfortunately the small chance I had of going has now evaporated. On the plus side, less of you guys to fill with free piss at our party  Cheers Ross

Mash Hopping - Waste of Time?

Experimented many years ago - Found no benefits, total waste of hops & money.... There again i sell hops... so go for it :D Cheers Ross

    IPA Hopping Tips

Using a bag properly does not limit exposure of hops to the beer... Sierra Nevada use hop bags in their hoppiest ales... We have to use bags in our hoppiest beers, but then with the volume we use just letting them fall out doesn't help :-)
