    Rate my crack!

Did you buy a full sack of grain, and if so are you looking to have your sack rated as well?

How long have you kept crushed grains for?

Over the course of a brewing hiatus caused by a major renovation I had crushed grains stored for over 8 months, which I brewed with no perceptible drop in quality or efficiency. Grain was sealed in a plastic bag, bUT not under vacuum.

    Mini Keg Accessories Bulk.Buy. (Beerkat)

Slightly off topic, but the carbonation caps appear not to have integrated pressure relief, but all other ball lock lids do? I'm happy enough to run into pet with a carb cap, but stainless seems an accident waiting to happen.....lid needs prv for mine.

Keg liquid dip tube losing siphon

Ok, partial credit for the hop pellet in the poppet. Cleaned that out plus replaced the dip tube o ring. Still not a great pour but vastry improved. Thanks guys.

Keg liquid dip tube losing siphon

It is a hoppy beer so will look into the poppet theory. As I said keg is a repeat offender but maybe I got unlucky twice. Tried blowing down the dip tube but don't think I generate enough pressure for that to be a definitive test.

Keg liquid dip tube losing siphon

I assumed nobody would look at "help my beer is foamy!", so gone with a slightly speculative title. So here's the deal. I have one key that consistently pours foam. When it has been sitting idle for a while, there is gas evolving in the beer line, for perhaps a 10cm length. I run 3 taps in...

    Anyone had the snip?

That works too, but generally less reliable.

I like to run mine for exactly O2 minutes.

    Different wort aeration kits

Definitions tend to be broader than the scope of the standards they are contained witihin. This is specifically for regulators on gas cylinders as defined in AS 2030, which does not include disposables. Whatever you do, just make sure your oxygen regulator is magnesium free...

    Different wort aeration kits

Disposable bottles are not classified as cylinders.

    Different wort aeration kits

Pretty sure 4267 does not cover disposable gas bottles or their regulators. That said, oxygen is not something you **** with and anyone who thinks it needs an ignition source should probably not be playing with it. Oxygen really should have a dedicated reg, and any supplier of generic multi-gas...

    Dead kegerator :(

I once had this happen and the issue was a loose connection in the stc, try bypassing it and see what happens.

    DIY Conical Glass Fermenter

Aha angle at the base of the cone, got it.

    DIY Conical Glass Fermenter

How do you make a 90 degree cone?

Another week, another new home brewing gadget

1 atmosphere partial pressure differential is approximately 100kPa, so more analogous to a keg than an unpressurised fermenter. Similar to HDPE, I cannot imagine this has an appreciable oxygen ingress rate over the course of a typical fermentation.

Technical Mash Tun Question involving thermodynamics.

Ah, most answers seem to assume the mash liquor is being circulated during the mash, is it?

    WTB: Oxygen Setup

Outlet is 3/8" BSP, inlet is whatever oxyturbo bottles are (M12 mentioned above).
