    Good clarification. I interpreted ability to absorb as rate, but yes given a defined pressure it will always equilibrate to the same level, given enough time.

    Actual volume in heads pace is irrelevant if you are working to a set pressure/temperature. What will impact uptake is gas/liquid interface area, which may be related to liquid fill level in the keg (and hence, indirectly related to head space volume).

    Whilst this is true, it does not implicitly follow that yeast uptake of available oxygen at this stage of fermentation is a good thing for your beer.
