Oh you what? Didn't quite catch that, Flintoff.

Oh you what? Didn't quite catch that, Flintoff.

To be fair, he thought he was talking to Kevin Pietersen on the player mic.

Beer kegs strewn across Melbourne street; tram derailed; injuries

This is news? Surely not the first time beer has made someone go off the rails.

    Biggest Brewery &@%!ups

Yes I have heard of acid wash, just not with starsan. If it can serve this purpose, does that not mean it would be a rather ineffective sanitizer with respect to wild yeasts?

**** ups aside, is starsan really appropriate to be used in yeast transfer?

Final Gravity Only 0.02 below OG?

Based on the pics in the original thread, some significant degree of fermentation has occurred, so either your OG or your FG measurement is out. You can use your refractometer and hydrometer at the end of fermentation to back calculate your OG to check if that was accurate to start with...

What is your oldest bottle conditioned beer

Robust porter, bottled the day my first was born, April 15th 2010. I try to drink a bottle a year on the day, and have enough to see me through to 2020. I drank the last bottle of my great uncles beers on the day she was born....it must have been pushing 15 years and tasted like brown soda water.

How many litres did you brew in 2014?

Yes, the fact I was denying my future wife/affair the joy of kids did not hold much weight with the missus, she kindly allowed the option of a doctor loping my nuts off before she did. I tend not to bark so much at the neighbours though.

How many litres did you brew in 2014?

80 litres, but half of that helping mates pop their all grain cherry (I was gentle). A renovation and the arrival of #3 got in the way. New years resolution for 240 litres in 2015, and no more kids.

    Odd Things from the Net

Tip for young players, all this **** pops up on your "recently viewed items" when you innocently log into your ebay account. Try explaining why you have been looking at **** hole expander plugs to your wife.

How long should you keep your fermentor

I've got one going strong from 1998 with no issues, but brew bucket is fermenting it's first batch so might be time for retirement.

Adelaide messenger Jurno needs a stern talking to

Rob in the comments section seems to think you need to spend $50 to make a decent batch of HB.
