is this an infection or just a by product of numerous adjuncts?..

this is is the secondary of one of Sully's Choc Choc stout's i brewed up in december, wondering if this 'film' of fluffy and creamy looking gunk is just the result of the huge additive bill (syrups, chocolate, cocoa, etc.) or a suspected Aceto infection? it formed after i racked to secondary and...

Help me design a recipe using Citra

    Ageing Beer! It definitely works!

depends on a variety of factors really! some styles i prefer to get into sooner like wheats when they are fresh, and other i like to let mellow for a while. beers which are predominantly hope driven in flavour seem to lose a lot of their hop profile after a while and can become a bit bland imho...

    Cheap v expensive kits

i recently moved to all grain after being predominantly discerned with kit cans. while i mainly used coopers cans (international series mostly) with bits and pieces added, i noticed a huge difference when i tried a can of Blackrock Golden Ale. id always guaged my success as a brewer by how my...

    cubing wort?

my guess is that you may also experience problems transfering your beer from cube to keg if it has had any dex added, as it will probably release a lot of the co2 from the carbonation in the process and will foam like hell!

funky fermentation on first all-grain (possessed?...)

sounds like you could be on the money spryzie, the fermentation seems to have finished at only the 3rd day so im thinking that it was just due to the rigurous fermentation :P fingers crossed this 'pale ale' comes out a winner!
